A few of our users have a reported having problems uploading videos or commenting on them. This is due to a change YouTube made on August 31 2011.
It specifically affects users that have a YouTube account that is not linked to a Google account, or even if they are linked, but were not at the point when you granted Muvizu access to your YouTube account. YouTube have required all new users for some time to have a Google account so it’ll mainly affect long time YouTube users.
The solution is to go through the process of linking your Muvizu and YouTube accounts again, but you only need to do this if you’re having problems commenting or uploading videos. You can do this by clicking on then on this site, and then click beside your YouTube account name. Then click to associate them again. All your existing Muvizu videos will appear back on the site shortly afterwards.
On Thursday at 8am BST (GMT+1), we’ll be updating the site to detect when this happens and provide clearer information. The site will be offline for a couple of minutes so any video uploads in progress during that time will be lost.
Let us know if you have any questions
Ian (Muvizu web team)

Hello It's been awhile since I've uploaded. But last night I uploaded a video and their was two upload sections on the same page asking for browse for video location with an upload button. I used the top one that showed a progress bar updating. After the video finished, it said something like your video was successfully uploaded to youtube. But than ask for the second upload video bit. which I skipped.
I didn't get why it wanted it uploading twice if the first was successfully. Has the process changed because my video has shown on youtube but not the site yet which I know can take awhile, but it got me worried because I skipped the second upload request if you know what I mean.
Thanks
I hope this all made sense LOL

Hi Jonbez The upload procedure hasn't changed recently so it shouldn't be asking you to upload twice. We'll have a look at why this is happening for you. Seems like a strange glitch! Ian

Jonbez - your video was showing in the CMS when I arrived this morning, but marked as private. Perhaps one of the QA team will look into this ... soon P-/

The Private one is delete it think. The first time it uploaded a wrong version. So made it private till I uploaded the correct version. This should be the only version up on youtube now.
Here is a picture of the two upload buttons I see. I used the top one and then skipped the second when prompted.

Ah ok it's making sense now. I couldn't figure out how your initial video was private but if you'd set it to that then it makes sense. Your newer video hasn't appeared in our system yet but I see it was uploaded just recently so it'll no doubt show up very soon.
There shouldn't be 2 upload options there though. Basically our video uploader uses Flash except when your browser doesn't have flash then we revert back to the standard HTML uploader. The fact that yours showed both the Flash uploader and the HTML one at the same time is something we've never seen before. I'm doing some more tests but I'm hoping it's just a one-off glitch edited by IanS on 27/02/2012

Thanks for the feedback guys, we're looking in to it.
Toonarama and Jonbez - can you both let me know which browser and version you're running, and also what version of flash if possible? You can find your Flash version here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Thanks

toonarama, jonbez,
I think this is fixed in IE9 now hopefully. Let me know next time you upload if you experience the same issue.
Thanks

That's it here on the site now Jonbez - it just took a bit longer than normal to come back from the YouTube feed.

Great it showed up
BTW I just tested the first steps of uploading and the second upload button was gone. Looks like you sorted it. Nice one

After linking your Youtube account to Muvizu, is it possible to upload to Muvizu site any Muvizu movie already posted on your Youtube account or does it have to be removed from Youtube first and re-uploaded with the Muvizu upload procedure? Thanks

Valero, unfortunately you'd need to re-upload it through the Muvizu site. This is how we're able to access and, subsequently, moderate the video for this site.

Hi Gimmick,
It's a bank holiday in the UK for Easter, so the guys will probably not be in the office until after the Easter break, they usually upload to the site as soon as they hit the office again.
