Is there a limit as to the number of character actions that can be added to scene? I can't seem to add anymore actions or head and eye movements to my current project. Given there is a lot going on in the scene; pyrotechnics, 7 audio and sound effect tracks, special effects etc. My PC is pretty solid, but is it possible I'm up against a memory limit?

Cheers,

I'm a fairly new user myself, and I don't have a direct answer for your question...

However, One of the things I like about the idea of DIRECTING a video is that it presumes we are creating individual scenes which will be joined together later in an editor or by using the Muvizu joiner.

The point I'm leading up to is that when resources get tight, you can compensate by saving shorter scenes. Justify the break in continuity by introducing a new camera view.

Thanks PatMarrNC;

I'll play around with the editing and work towards shorter scenes as you suggested. Since I'm new at actually making one of these things and there are so many options to play with a kind of "Directing Creep" kicks in and I finding myself adding so many details. Thanks for the reply

There is no limit on how many actions or movements you can have (only the length of the shot, which is fixed to a max of 20 minutes). If you run out of memory the program would crash rather than prevent you putting new actions in, I would have thought. When you say it won't let you put them in, what do you mean? Are the options greyed out? Do they work, but then not happen on playback?

Thanks for the reply ziggy72,. Love your work BTW. No they are not greyed out, they can be seen in the timeline but the character does not implement them (expressiveness changes for example). The scene is just over 4 minutes long. I'm going to try breaking it up into separate takes as suggested by PatMarrNC
