Sketchup to Muvizu you've been busy!

That looks like a lot of tools you have there in your sketchup program. Do you use most of them?

Future of Muvizu after BETA I would not be fearful of using a program because it has the term beta attached to it. In fact google has the same status (so I'm led to believe from people in the know)

totally stumped by transparent textures help? Dylly wrote:
So in effect it's like attaching a backdrop, with a transparent avi on it, onto a model

Yeh, I had a similar idea a while back about applying avi's but on to characters...

If we were to import one of the character textures templates into a video editing package (vegas, after effects etc.) and ensure that the video output dimensions remained the same as the template, we could create animated character textures by cropping and resizing small animations (a beating heart, animated tron style outfit etc) and placing them in the appropriate place on the body.

Yip, there is a fair amount of potential for animated textures. I have created a few that I'm still waiting to use for the right project eg a rain dripping down a wall and a rain bouncing on the ground texture.

There is definitely still so much that can still be created for Muvizu.

Sky's the limit

Directing movement is really hard Generally most of my animations are dialogue based and do not require a lot of character movement.

It is a bit of a pain in the arse, as is camera/object animation, But worth it in the long run.

Waypoints will come one day! I feel it in my water!

Copy between sets andla wrote:
I assume this is not implemented yet because I couldn't do it.
It would be great to be able to do that.

There is a way to copy objects, characters between sets. Just select what you need then go to the edit menu and select copy ( or ctrl c) then open a blank set or the one you want the object etc to appear in then go up to the edit menu and select paste ( or ctrl v) and it should appear.
It works for me anyway!

Codecs again I always output frommuvizu in the motion jpeg codec and then after piecing the scenes all together in Vegas I output the final movie as an xvid.

Random requests! Yes it does sound like a good feature to have. As we have the ability already to scale an object in the three dimensions, is it not possible for the upper and lower limits to be expanded to allow us to scale an object right through its self in one direction to allow mirroring.

Good one!...

Feedback Thread - v0.19b release (January 2012). I was just wondering if the character was standing on a small piece of collision external to the main prop. Perhaps a part of the object which may have not been deleted properly? ...Just a thought

Just spotted a weird happening with the 64 bit version. If I load a new prop when I have a character in the scene, upon loading the prop the character floats into the air to meet the prop on its way down. Nothing else untoward happens just that the character does a spot of levitation and gets out of position.

Is it an imported prop or a Muvizu one?

Random requests! Hello folks!
Another random request for you..

Now that we have effects on character could we have spotlights on character? To imitate torches both hand held and helmet?

Shopping List & thanks for de-trumpeting OH HO!..

Is it that time again?

The time when the devs gather to decide what goes into the next update?
The time where myself and others dig out the users wish list and jump up and down shouting for camera waypoints, facial animation etc etc etc.

I love this time

Now where's that list again?.....

Hello everyone,

Dylly's amazing work is now available on our 3D assets gallery.

If the textures seem low-res, simply save the set and then re-load it.
That should fix it.

Cheers,
Marco

I can heartily recommend downloading Dylly's work it is truly outstanding and sits perfectly with The style of the Muvizu HQ created objects
