MeshMellow responds to users’ commercial needs with the release of Muvizu:Play+

October 08, 2013

Glasgow, UK, October 08 2013 - MeshMellow, the Glasgow and London based software development and animation house has launched their first paid product in the shape of Muvizu:Play+. Building on the global popularity of their Muvizu:Play software, this latest release (version 1.2) offers full commercial rights to all user-generated animations alongside enhanced functionality.

MeshMellow have seen a growing number of requests for a licensed version of their easy-to-use software and are delighted to see Play+ begin to satisfy this demand.

Storytellers, educators and businesses using Muvizu:Play to make animations quickly and affordably now have the option to purchase a licence offering them rights to content produced using this version of the software in perpetuity.

As a premium version of the powerful yet simple Muvizu:Play, the purchase of a Play+ licence is a logical next step for any dedicated storyteller or more commercially-minded user. The release also delivers some exciting new premium features.

Play+ has added FBX import functionality making it possible to build on the Muvizu experience with commonly-used applications like Blender and Maya.

For the first time users can also attach objects to their characters and the team look forward to seeing how this is applied to stories and what new assets are created and imported.

All this, in addition to the new unlimited HD watermark-free rendering which opens the door to the creation of commercial animations and increases the prospects of monetising videos.

Muvizu’s emotion-based approach to character direction has huge potential for a range of applications in the learning space and discounts are available on multiple licences for educational use.

MeshMellow’s commercial director Paul Collimore commented, “At MeshMellow we are very clear that we are operating in a creative user-led industry. Play+ has been developed as a result of listening to our users’ needs and providing a straight forward payment method, based on value for money. We will continue to develop our products in this mind set and look forward to releasing future titles which are easy to use and produce fast results for storytellers and creators of animation.”
