Hi folks!

This company were featured on the gadget show - http://www.cereproc.com

They have a demo bar at the top of the page with a selection of voices to choose from. Try it out it's pretty cool.

And guess what! they are another company based in Scotland!!

Cheers

Ok, so, that's my morning spent.

Typing in overly Scottish slang words and listen to 'Stuart' (Scottish - English) sound them back to me, might actually be better than all Christmas' EVER!

So funny.

*Just found Dodo (Glasgow - English)..... Best. Text to speech. EVER.

So after watching that vid....your saying all I need is a robo-version of myself, then have some sort of Cereproc text to speech program running hooked up to my mouth, then I could literally just stay at home and let Robo-Me do all my work....

Take all my money.....all of it.

I wonder if "Dodo (Glasgow English)" is named after "Deedee" from Limmy's Show? The voice is very similar, and it's especially noticeable if you're juvenile enough to spend a solid hour just making it say sweary words and giggling to yourself. Which is maybe how I spent my lunch break today. Maybe.

Good find Dreeko - that Dodo voice is brilliant, and making all of them swear with just the right inflection and timing is so much fun... Big Grin

hehe i was actually looking at text to speech advances in the last couple of months there is another really awesome one that I am seriously considering from yamaha for music

I spent a good couple of hours researching this one trying to find a weakness that would scream "synthetic" to me I could find none

http://powerfx.com/categories/vocaloid

I wanted a synthetic male voice or two because well i can't even do a "fake" one haha I can do chipmunks, elves, squirrels, kids, midgets but not "man voices".. Big Grin
