This is actually a Windows AVI limit. You could try exporting as an MP4 using a different CODEC (although I have given up on trying to find a codec I'm happy with).

If you have Muvizu Play + then use TGA as you have unlimited length. You will need to load into a video editor and export to an MP4 though before you can upload it anywhere.

On my first project, I had the same experience of the computer getting hung before the video finished rendering.

So I tried setting the START - STOP markers at one minute intervals, thereby breaking a 5 minute video into 5 segments. That worked fine. I left a little overlap at each break so I could join them back together on Adobe Premiere Elements

I arrived at the one minute break point by trial and error. With my settings, one minute of video was creating a file about 2 gigs in size. If the output exceeded 2 gigs, either my computer would hang, or the resulting file was unusable.

that tutorial is beta muvizu but not a whole bunch of change for make video I dont think. Muvizu comes with only bare bones codecs so if you notice codecs before its because they were installed on your pc and muvizu added them to the codec list. They dont all necessarily work but i seem to remember you installing k-lite codecs in the old version so you would need to re-install to pick them up again in the new version otherwise muvizu itself comes only with a very basic avi codec and uncompressed and that is about it really

Aah, thank you. Thats a nice new video which seems to have changed and also there are far more resolution and codec sizes on offer there, which I dont have! Any idea why?

I have managed to get to the right 'make video' page now by the way, though I've done nothing different from before.

thanks

sounds strange did you rewatch the how to make a video tutorial to make sure your doing all the steps?

http://muvizu.com/Video/17233/Tutorial-23-Make-video-and-using-the-Video-Jo

if you are maybe take some screenshots. I dont know if you have a screen recorder as well? its hard to figure what people are doing without some pictures. It doesnt sound like its crashing but it might be or it could be something windows related. If you get the "save as" and type in a name it should just save and then start processing the video you created.

My video just seems to hang in the 'make video' screen. I cant abort it as it wont abort and if I cant save it unless I close the muvizu window entirely - then I get an option to cancel. Then I return to the make video screen .... and round and round I go!

Ive got the markers in the right place and the video will play but... I'm sure you get the message by now. Help please!
