ukBerty wrote:

I'm not sure when we are due the next update. Anyone ???

We're aiming for early April for the next update. It will really just be a service release for the v0.19b - to bring the performance back up and make the thing a bit more stable. We've been trying to fix a lot of bugs. Not that we won't have introduced more - obviously.

As noted in the news release, we'll probably let it out a little early for the brave souls who want to help test it.

Thanks again, will do that although 32bit 19b is quicker than 64bit.

As for keeping Muvizu open all the time. No changes required.

You can uninstall and reinstall the 18b version and when it asks if you would like to update you can click 'no.'

This should keep you from updating to the latest version. It might ask you to update every time you start the application but the simple work around for this is to keep Muvizu open constantly so you can do nothing but turn out videos. Simples.

Hello once again. Sorry to be a pain.

I downloaded 32bit 18b and installed it. During installation it said that there was an update to download. I accepted and updated. I now find that it has updated 18b to 19b.

Should I uninstall and re-install without the update or just stick with 32bit 19b?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi WozToons!

It's possible to get both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions of Muvizu onto the same computer if you have a 64 bit operating system. All you need to do is make sure that they're not being installed to the same directory so when you install the 18b version install it to a path like:

C:\program files\Muvizu_18b\

That should make sure that there's no conflicts between the two versions.

once you're inside the application you can make sure you've got the right version by checking the release at the bottom of the About screen.

Woztoons,

Yes - you can have multiple versions on the same machine - just install into a different directory when setting it up. You then need to recreate a shortcut to the 0.19b c:\program files\Muvizu\binaries64\muvizu.exe file.

I would use the 64 bit version of 0.18b if you're having performance issues until the next version comes out.

A couple of points though - sets are not backwardly compatible so things you have already started you'd probably be better off sticking with 0.19b. Also if you install into a different directory you will not get any favourites transferred so you will have to remake any characters you want to re-use.

I'm not sure when we are due the next update. Anyone ???

Hi again. I am currently using the the 64 bit version 19b. It is a bit laggy on my laptop.
Win 7 64bit Home Premium, 2.4ghz I3, 4gb ram, Intel HD graphics.

Can I download and run the 32 or 64 bit 18b versions without uninstalling 19b and test to see if they run any faster?

If so which would you recommend for my machine?

Thanks for reading and hope you can help.

P.S. Or is it worth waiting for an imminent update?
