Xtranormal seems to be up again, but it doesn't seem to be the same. And of course you have pay a lot of money to use it. Only $9.99 per month if you are a student. $1995 (and up), per year, for the pro version. Of course that means they will fail.
edited by bigwally on 08/04/2017

welcome to Muvizu, Chuck!

I was interested in Xtranormal, but by the time I discovered what program was making all those cool videos, they had already stopped allowing new accounts, and claimed to be in a restructuring phase. Rather than waiting around, I tried some other animation software. One day on a Facebook group for amateur animators, somebody posted a video made with Muvizu, and I knew that's exactly what I had been waiting for. I've been here ever since, and haven't looked back.

I hope you enjoy using Muvizu as much or more than you liked Xtranormal! I think you'll fit right in to the forum.. people here are friendly and helpful.

Yes - welcome too.

If you have not seen it already there is a good instruction video from Daniel Robinson here:

It has been mentioned here recently too.

One very good thing is actually that you import each characters voice audio track into Muvizu as this gives so many possibilities -

Recently I had to make Master Yoda say something - and I found nobody who could do the speak with the alien accent, that I wanted.

Solution: I wrote the lines in English in Google Translate - kinda backwards as he always talks - then I forced the input field to Serbian -or whatever- language and pressed the listen icon down to the left - and voila: Yoda spoke his lines with a most unexpected accent and a surprising emphasis on the syllables... and it could be recorded with the built in Windows voice recorder or the like.

It sounds precisely as Yoda talks in real life
edited by ritsmer on 08/04/2017

I used Xtranormal for several years and was very sad when the closed down and took my money and everything that was not saved to my computer. I recently found Muvizu and I feel this is a wonderful program. In some cases it has a higher degree of animation but in other cases it is weaker. One big area of difference is the voices. Xtranormal had voices contained within the program so we didn't have the import problem as in Muvizu. The support here is much better as the slight problem I have experience was addressed within 10 hours not bad since I'm located in Wisconsin, USA. Looking forward to using the program.
