Muvizu 'Christmas Crackers' competition

Time for a bit of festive fun – Muvizu style!

As Kim said, since the launch of Muvizu:Play+ we have seen lots of new users join Muvizu but we've not yet seen too much evidence of their early experiments with the software.

We know how tricky it can be sometimes to tackle that very first project and we hope this Christmas Card blueprint will help.

This is a perfect chance for ALL of our users to join in the merriment. New users can hone their skills within our easy-to-use Christmas Muvizu studio set and the old hands can take things further and customize and polish the characters and even chop in their own joke if they think they’re funnier than us (and we know already that some of you are)!

Every animated cracker joke – including our start and end boards – that is uploaded to our Gallery will count as a single entry in our draw for one of four holly-tastic prizes (max three entries per person):

So, we hope you agree it’s a great way to save paper and share something you’ve made yourself with your friends without the need for a glue stick and safety scissors. Impress your Facebook friends and family with your incredible animation directing skills and make them smile (or groan)!

We’ve already set up cameras 1 and 4 for you in the scene – you need to include these sections to qualify for the draw. That leaves you cameras 2 and 3 to tell your joke (more if you have Play+).

Tip for beginners: Consider framing camera 2 (over the question) so it doesn’t give away your joke but sets the scene – then use a wider shot on your next camera (punchline) to give away the laugh!

Terms & Conditions

1. The promoter is Meshmellow Ltd, The Lighthouse, 70 Mitchell Street, Glasgow, G1 3LX UK (the "Promoter).
2. This competition will commence on 28th November 2013 and the closing date is noon on the 25th December 2013
3. Entry into the competition is free and no purchase is necessary. Maximum of three entries per person.
4. There are four prizes: one £150 Muvizu:Play+ license and three 10” Muvizu cuddly blob toys (watch out for a fourth blob over on our Facebook feed!).
5. This promotion is open to Muvizu users around the world excluding employees of the Promoter and affiliated companies, partners, families or anyone associated with this competition. The winners will be determined at random from all submitted videos that comply.
6. All entrants must upload their video to the Muvizu site Gallery in order to be in the running.
7. The winner will be notified via email by 7th January 2014 and will also be announced on the Muvizu Forum page. If the winner does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the prize will be deemed to have been forfeited and the Promoter may dispose of such prize without any liability to the winner.
8. The prize is non-transferable & no cash alternative will be awarded in lieu of the prize.
9. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of the competition the Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries that do not comply in full with these rules will be disqualified. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion
10. If for any reason the prize is unavailable the Promoter reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to substitute a similar prize of equivalent value.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to alter, amend, suspend or terminate this competition without prior notice in the event that circumstances make this unavoidable.
12. All entrants' personal data will only be held for the purpose of the competition and will not be used for any other purposes whatsoever without their prior permission.
13. Entry into this competition shall be deemed to be a full and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.
14. The prize and or the competition is not offered in conjunction with any other offers.
15. The Promoter will not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any loss, expense or liability arising from the winner's use of the prize.
16. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom and Great Britain.
