March 2015 update bugs ziggy72 wrote:
Keep getting an error on loading (previously okay) sets :

An object's property has been unexpectedly changed and this file will not display properly
Object called NAME MISSING

I think its referring to a backdrop (because I got a similar message which identified Backdrop as the object in a related set). Can't actually find the not-displaying-properly object in question, and everything looks fine in all the sets so far, and it still loads so not a big issue but I thought you'd want to know. Also, the error goes away once the set has been saved with the latest version.

I've been getting the same thing too.

Issue with Commercial License I didn't have any trouble at all. I uninstalled the old version, installed to new version in the same place as the old and everything worked great. My license number was already in place. Was I just lucky?

Neutral mood? Good to hear from you Danimal! I've noticed I can't use the old hacks for a neutral expression too. I guess it's the "nitwit" look for the time being.

How long does it take you? It's hard to say exactly how long a 5 minute video take. I've done things that have taken only an hour or so to finish and other things that have taken well over a month. I still have a few works in progress that I have been working on for well over a year.

One great thing about Muvizu is that you can create things as simple or as complicated as you like. All you have to do is put in the effort. The main thing (to me anyway) is to just have fun with it.

New Forum I emailed Digimania earlier today about the future of Muvizu and this was the reply I got:

"For the past year we have been developing our RenderDm product. All our resources have been focused at bringing this new software to market and acting on early adopter feedback.

Whilst this has been going on we have been collecting key demographic information regarding our Muvizu user base. The information we have collected is currently being compiled ready for an internal Muvizu review scheduled for the first week in October (a year since launching Play+). Now armed with the info needed to make clear commercial decisions we will be ready to map out a future plan for Muvizu.

There are several plans being developed and we hope to release full details by the end of October."

So I guess we wait until the end of October to find out something.

The rendering machine took first priority instead of sharing that priority. They put all the users in the dog house as if to say. That's pretty much how I feel about all of this. I've supported Muvizu almost since day one and this is the thanks I get, the thanks ALL Muvizu users get?

Very sad indeed...

Just the fact that Muvizu is taking up to 10 days to approve a video is disconcerting. Digimania should put someone in charge of just the Muvizu site to at least look like they still care.

Beginning of the end?

It seems that ever since Muvizu Play came out and they started charging for Muvizu Play+ things have been going down hill. I think you may be right Bigwally, it's looking like the beginning of the end.

Shiny new xbox 360 controller I found an old Atari 2600 joy stick from "back in the day" but I doubt it will help much with my Muvizu endeavors.

Death by Jelly - scene 1 WIP I feel your pain toonarama and I agree with you, Dreeko and others thoughts about the situation. I still support the Muvizu team and have "high hopes" for the future of the software but it's getting increasingly difficult to keep waiting for something to happen.

I'm still using Muvizu to create animations but I too have been spending a bit of my animation time on the "dark side".
