    • any ideas of making a collision mesh in silo 3d
      • Over a year ago by PatMarrNC
      • COLLISION IN silo:
        1) create a small cube and put it inside the object that needs collision
        2) CTRL-ALT-E to open scene editor
        3) click the little triangle beside the word SCENE
        4) click on the last cube in the list

        (continued in next message)

      • 5) actually, DOUBLE click it to change the namefrom "cube" to "UCX_FILENAME" where filename is the exact same as the name of the .OBJ file you export (minus the ".obj")

        6) yes, that is an underscore between UCX and the filename

        7) UCX must be caps
      • Over a year ago by PatMarrNC
      • 8) all other objects in the project must be merged into one entity, except for the collision object.

        9) to merge sub-objects hold SHIFT as you click on all the sub objects... when they're all selected.. then

        10) CREATE > COMBINE OBJECTS
      • Over a year ago by PatMarrNC
      • 11) then, in object selection mode CTRL-A to select everything

        12) FILE > SAVE SELECTED OBJECTS

        13) import into blender for FBX conversion

    • just came across 3d coat software. can this be used for modeling and bringing it into muvizu. including actors
      • Over a year ago by drewi
      • No actors can be imported into muvizu.
you can import models in fbx and obj or ase forms but not animatable figures.
it's a regular lament of users.

      • 3D-coat doesn't create rigged characters anyway. But, it can be used to create attachments used to modify characters and also to create imported props like weapons, vehicles, furniture etc. But since you already have SIlo, it does that too
