I had a similar problem for 64bit Play. I uninstalled the K-Lite 64bit codec pack, completely removed all Muvizu and restarted. Then reinstalled 64bit PLAY and now it works fine. This may be your issue or not as you only gave a bit of info but worth a try.

Hi!

I used to make a spoof news series called "On the News" which included a few background videos (Sky News style!) The 32bit issue came to my notice when I could no longer open the relevant sets for my series. The reason for this was down to the fact that I was now using the 64bit Muvizu.

If your version of Muvizu Play is 64bit and you are importing video which has been rendered by a 32 bit program then you will have trouble.

Hope this helps

Cheers
D

Try installing the klite 32bit pack first, then the 64bit one on top of that, and then re-encode the video. Remember, on a 64bit system you actually need both packs to make sure everything works (and it mostly will. Mostly ).

Or do it the other way round!
Install the 32 bit version of Muvizu! Instead!

I tried, and it almost worked.
I covert my video with bink video conventer to a .avi file and when I input it in the wall, I SAW THE IMAGE OF THE VIDEO !
But, the problem is that the video isn't moving, I only see the same image everytime :P

I know it's Sunday, but I really need your help !

What type of avi? The internal codec matters, y'see. I usually find that the Divx AVI codec works best for Muvizu. Does Binx give you those sort of options? If not, see if there's an advanced output/options bit to change it.

is it like that when you render? because it often doesnt show real movement until the render. Myself I use plain old microsoft avi even though its huge. I never really got to be friends with the video option inside muvizu unless it was for an effect like water. I found the video output muddy for other things and turned to green screen chroma key for most things.

divx never worked for me lol.

Managing codecs is like trying to push jelly uphill. Or eating soup with a fork. It's a fight, Dwarf, always is

I use ffdshow's mjpeg codec for video on backdrops etc It works a treat!

Xvid is useless for it and is also terrible for editing!

Exactly Dreeko - each PC seems to like/dislike codecs according to the position of the planets or something...

so the answer to the question is "trial and error until you find what works for you" haha basically. I find that everyone is different on what they find to work. I got tired of litering my pc with codecs and decided on a plan of action that "works for me" but I dont think there is any single all encompassing solution for this issue and I have encountered it elsewhere rearing its magical twisted obscure head of wierdness. I have come to the conclusion that its also linked with hardware for instance i have digital camera codecs for a canon that now renders video and a webcam and find that the thing that works for me best (this year) is the codecs that came with the webcam for most things. It plays nice with the rest of my pc

I will cry (joke)
I tried all the codec I saw : K-lite, K-lite (64), Xvid, but each time I export the video I wanna put on my wall in AVI, I saw only an image on my wall, NO MOVE ONLY AN image. I'm sure that my .avi is problematic

I will tell you what I did :

1-I used VirtualDub to convert my .Avi to a .avi compressed xvid file
2-Go on Muvizu
3-Create a wall
4-Edit the wall
5-Choose the video
6-Crying (because I only see 2 images successively)

If you know whats my problem, I will be SO HAPPY !

did you render the video clip you used the file in? because you wont always see the moving inside muvizu or are you just trying to watch the movie inside muvizu? if the clip is long it wont move well.

Yes, I tried to render,

Dwarf, one thing you haven't told us - what length is the AVI file? What dimensions, file size, etc?
