I have installed full version 64-bit for Windows 7 Ultimate. After I open it a window pops up and says: "An error has occurred: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)". Don't know what to do, I tried re-installing it but it still happens.

Hi PipisMegas, sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Could you please tell me what version of Muvizu have you installed on your PC?

Thanks,
-Jim

Hi again,

Did you install the 32 or 64-bit version?

Thanks,
-Jim

This is a very unusual error - although it is possible that it could be an issue with your graphics card drivers - could you please try downloading and installing the most recent version of the 64-bit drivers for your card?

Hi again,

There is one last thing that we could try before delving into developer tools etc - could you please try doing the following:

Uninstall Muvizu
Go to C:\Programme Files
Delete the Muvizu Play folder
Run the Muvizu installer
When prompted to enter an installation directory enter a custom location, such as C:\Muvizu

That should clear all .dll files relating to Muvizu and, hopefully, resolve any conflicts.

Thanks,
-Jim

There is no Muvizu folder in Programme Files directory. Although I did tried installing it in a different directory. Same thing!!! When I open it the same error pops up. wtf

If you have installed the 64-bit version of Muvizu:Play on your 64-bit PC then it will likely be in the "Program Files (x86)" folder, not the "Program Files" folder.

After the un-installation Muvizu folder doesn't exist ANYWHERE.

The uninstall should delete the Muvizu folder, but there are occasionally leftover files which need to be deleted manually. The fact that there was no Muvizu folder at all just means that the uninstall worked correctly.

It seems that the issue must lie with a configuration file in your Windows setup, it is possible to use the programme "Dependency Walker" to determine which .dll file is causing the issue - you can get it from the following location:

http://www.dependencywalker.com/

Make sure that you download the "For x64" version and do the following:

Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop
Run depends.exe
Go to File>Open
Go to your custom installation directory, then Binaries64, and double-click on Muvizu
Go to Profile>Start Profiling
Click Ok
Wait until the Muvizu error message appears - dependency walker should now know which .dll file has caused the issue
Go to File>Save As and save the log
E-mail the log, along with a brief note of the error to bugs@muvizu.com

Once you have done that our developers will be able to have a look at the log, see what is causing the error, and hopefully determine how to fix it.

Take care,
-Jim

Hi again,

We received your e-mail last night and it has been forwarded to our development team - hopefully they will be able to shed some light on the situation.

Hi again,

Our devs just went to have a look at it and it turns out that it wasn't Muvizu that you checked - it was a programme called CVTRES.exe, which is related to .NET.

Could you please try again, and make sure that you check the Muvizu executable in your Binaries 64 folder?

Take care,
-Jim

:/ It's still the same file saving it... I think, that's the problem?? Dunno, anyway I did it again and it stills saves a file named CVTRES. At binaries 64 open the Muvizu.exe right? not DLL or something else...

That is really odd, it might be worth trying a full uninstall of .NET and giving the most recent version from Microsoft's website a try:

Hi again PipIsMegas,

This may be a long shot, but we have recent had users who fixed their issues by installing .NET 3.5 - which you can get here:

Fingers crossed!
