Problem with creating... Hey Thol,

Thanks for giving us the details we needed.
It's very strange that you are having this problem. It seems to be something specific to your system.
I'm running the exact same operating system and didn't experience any problems.

So lets try and solve this mystery

Let's try a fresh install first.

1 - Uninstall any 64 bit versions of Muvizu you may have on your hard drive. (Control panel - Programs and Features).
2 - Delete the folder c:\Program Files\Muvizu - default path.
3 - Restart you machine.
4 - Install the 64 bit version (when the DirectX window pops up, don't change anything)

I hope this helps. Keep us posted please.

Cheers,
Marco

The Create Window is not showing.
I have a Radeon HD 5800, Intel i7,Windows 7 64, lot's of memory. Tried to reinstall. Still the same.
The older version of muvizu works well.
Anyone the same problem?

Greetings
thol

Hi Thol,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems with Muvizu.

Can you please give us a little bit more of information?

Does Muvizu freeze when you click the create button?
This is something we definitely didn't see before!

Download Mirrors Hello everyone,

I've just added two download mirrors for today's release.
There's one for each version (32 bit and 64 bit).
So if you're having problems downloading Muvizu from our website (which I doubt it) please try the links above.

Note: If you are running July's build, your client should prompt a request to update your version. A little bit of patience is required for those with a slow connection.

When I get the download links from Gamershell I'll post them here.
Watch this space.

Cheers,
Marco

Looks to me that the object properties location sliders are incorrectly labelled.
E.g.
The top one, back/forth, causes left/right.
Second one, left/right, goes back/forth.

The bottom two rotation sliders don't seem right either.

I've tried on old and newly created characters.
64bit Muvizu.

Hey Simon,

Does that happen to all items? I found a few where that happens, but they spawn side-ways, making the alignment correct.
If that only happens to a few items can you please send us the list so we can have a look?
You can send the list to our bugs@muvizu.com email address

Thanks in advance.

Lost objects Hi Simon,

I don't think there is a tutorial focusing on this feature.
It can be found quite easily while exploring the user interface and it's very simple to work with. I'm making this statement having the non computer savvy people in mind

I advise you to take a look to this feature if you are working with big scenes.
Do please let us know if you have any questions about it. If you find a bug or that something should be done differently, we are here to listen to you suggestions.

Cheers,
Marco

Spot on ukBerty

Indeed the Scene Window is the most under rated tool we've got. And yet, one of the most useful tools if you are working on a big set.

From this window you can move to, edit and even delete the actor.

Don't worry to much, practice makes perfect. You will notice that your videos will get better and better.

We also have one of the best communities out there, so if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. I'm sure someone will give a nice hint or two

I would hazard a guess that Marco's reply meant that they are toying with giving characters built in props to use as attachments, similar to how the musical instruments work, but none of the props they are looking at now are weapons.

Almost Dan We might get that feature in the future, no promises though.

I signed up and downloaded but I do not know where I'm supposed to go to start making the videos and movies. Please help!

Hi melizabeth17,

Welcome to Muvizu.

You should find the ".exe" file on the Program Files\Muvizu\Binaries32 folder or Program Files (x86)\Muvizu\Binaries32 if you have a 64bit operating system.

If you downloaded the 64bit version just look for the Binaries64 folder instead of Binaries32.

I'm assuming you installed it on the default path indicated by out installer.

Please let us know if you managed to run Muvizu.

Cheers,
Marco

Newbie.... Hi yankiankit1,

Welcome to Muvizu.

Unfortunately our characters cannot hold weapons or objects.
Holding objects is something that our team is thinking about, but as for weapons there are no plans to add that feature.

To record a scene inside a car I can suggest having a look into the models on Google Warehouse.
Something like this: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=bfa90970d2635c8cac00fd1150223027&prevstart=0.
Then use the backdrops and the camera field of view to make it more tidy.

We have a lot of pre-made objects in Muvizu and it's very hard to cover all the needs of our users. However, Muvizu does allow you to import 3D objects. Please have a look to out tutorial videos for more information.

Once again, welcome to Muvizu and I hope you have fun using it. Please let us know how you are doing.
Looking forward to see some of your work.

Cheers,
Marco

Just a heads up, since the link is pointing to your uploaded videos list
We don't have permission to access that page so we end up in a dead end.

Saw Trailer ( Muvizu ) Hi Kelwin,

If you upload the video through our website, it will show on YouTube and on our gallery.

To do that you need to go to your profile.
On the left hand-side your have a few options, one of them is "Upload a file".
Click on that option and then select "Upload a video". The rest of the process is pretty much straight forward

If you have any further questions please let us know.

Cheers,
Marco
