I'd be surprised if it worked, it doesn't have a dedicated graphics card and the i3 chip is probably not powerful enough.

where can one see a list of dedicated graphic cards that is most suitable for muvizu?
also, based on your comment, anything higher than "i3 chip" is better?

That laptop looks like it should work, but expect lag because Muvizu relies heavily on the graphics card/chip and this one only has a small amount of dedicated memory for graphics.

thank you. would one be able to buy an extra dedicated memory and input it into this laptop? (sorry if that is a stupid question)

thank you. i found the same computer twice in my area, but one pre-installed with windows vista, and another with windows xp. which one one of these would run muvizu?

MrDrWho13

i found your recommended notebook in my local area,
"DELL XPS M1330 Laptop 13.3" 1.83GHz/3GB/250GB NVidia Geforce"

but instead of windows 7, i found it has been pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium;

and another listing, i found the same computer, preinstalled with windows XP.

my new question, would this same recommended computer, by you both, run muvizu, even if the windows being used is either windows xp or windows vista home premium?

how does one have a multiple of the same character how does one have a multiple of the same character onto a scene?
i want to use the same character talking to each other, perhaps a triplet or quadruplet of them, talking to each other. does one simply "copy and paste" the same character?

once a .set is created, how to extract a character primaveranz wrote:

once i create a muvizu.set movie, and later i decide i want to refine my character, can i go back and refine, or add texture, to a character?

from a muvizu.set movie, how can one extract the character and the set or asset? i want to extract, if for example, i want to add texture to it in a another programme.

Watch this tutorial - it may help. You don't actually need to extract the character in most cases just right-click and choose "edit".

A List of 3d Animation progams.... AuroraMoon wrote:
And how they compare to Muvizu.

I've been telling everyone I know about Muvizu. About how fun and easy it is to use, and the fact that it doesn't take as long to render an animated video clip. The thing is, one would need a vast experience of other animation programs to be able to compare, right?

I've been way into animating things as an hobby ever since I was a teenager, and as an result I've been using a lot of programs throughout my life and can safely compare Muvizu and those other programs though my own expernice.
So, I just thought you guys would like to know why I enjoy Muvizu so much, and what programs I've used in the past.

1. Lionhead's "The Movies" PC game. This is an awesome game that first got me into 3d animation as a young teenager. You do run an Hollywood studio, but you also have the ability to direct actors and actresses, create your own movies on sets and the like. I've created plenty of movies using this game.

Pros: Very easy to make movies, and they have plenty of backgrounds, sets, etc... espeically if you also get the stunt pack expansion which allows your actors/actors to be put into more dangerous action shots.

Cons: The graphics quickly becomes outdated, the actors/actresses can be somewhat unattractive at times and it's not easy to install custom content into the game in an attempt to "update" the game. What's more, Lionhead is no longer in business, so it doesn't look like they will ever make a "The Movies 2" game with updated graphics and a better way to mod the game. So this is it for you if you want to have something like this. Also, there's not many games being sold on places like Amazon... so in this day and age you'd need to find a Torrent of it if you want to have this game.

that is a cool comparison.
i actually own Lionhead's "The Movies" PC game, but i could not figure out whether they output in full hd, does it?
sorry to hear they went out of business, what was the mistake they made, that muvizu should watch out for?

ability to create a character or not? ziggy72 wrote:
You can import models, but not characters. There is the possiblity in the future that the fbx format would allow for character import, but not any time soon. The Create Character tab only allows you to create a new character from the list (man, woman, beefy, etc). So you're stuck with them, is what we're sayin'

i understand that an immoveable object, an .ase or .fbx can be imported.
i seem to understand what a character is, and that a character can NOT be imported into muvizu.
okay, but sorry, for stupid question: what is a model that can be imported?

ability to create a character or not? MrDrWho13 wrote:
Technically he is right, you have to customise the current characters with clothes, textures etc rather than actually creating the characters from scratch.

but can one not "create a character" by importing a new character?
can one not import a newly created .fbx or .ase character?
2014/1/29 15:32:43
ability to create a character or not? i asked somebody who has been using muvizu for quite some time, if he could create a character for me.
he said, no you can't create a character in muvizu, you can only customize one.
my question, if this is true, and i don't know if it is true, why then is there a tab that says "create a character"?
