When you download and install Muvizu:Play you are required to accept an End User Licence Agreement (EULA) which concisely outlines the dos and don’ts of the commercial exploitation of footage from Muvizu:Play. But in the interests of plain language, here’s a summary of the rules:
Muvizu:Play is free software. You may download and install it free of charge.
Muvizu:Play renders animations with a subtle watermark. Watermarked footage may be used for educational, non-commercial and personal projects free of charge.
We’ve adopted this policy because we think that Muvizu:Play is a great educational tool - whether teaching languages, bringing literature or history to life and adopting role-play in many subjects and learning environments. We also reckon that pupils and students will want to use Muvizu:Play outside school or college to produce content to post on YouTube and similar sites.
If you intend to use Muvizu:Play in your business, to sell services or training, to distribute materials you've created using Muvizu:Play or to use Muvizu:Play software in any way to generate revenue (directly or indirectly) then we class this as ‘commercial use.’
Muvizu:Play may only be exploited for commercial use once you have paid to remove the watermark by purchasing Muvizu:Play+. Don’t worry - this is an easy, in-app purchase! We call the activity of paying for watermark-free footage a ‘Content Upgrade.’ Once you’ve got your watermark-free footage then you have our permission to exploit it for commercial use.
The only valid means to remove the watermark is via the in-app purchase. Obscuring the watermark, cropping, blurring or otherwise is not allowed. Removing the watermark through third party software is also forbidden.
You must be over 18 years of age to purchase watermark-free footage. If you’re younger then you must ask a parent or guardian to accept responsibility on your behalf.
