There has been some absolutely cracking sets coming through of late (urbanlamb - Xmas 2012), (Dannynw23 - Friends/Tardis/Eastenders), but to name a few....

The quality is tremendous and we can only expect greater and better things to come!

Just wondering... what has been your most favourite set(s) you guys have used over the days/months/years... One that you have come up with? A preset from Muvizu? One from the Gallery?

I agree, I really enjoy making my own and tinkering with the objects Muvizu provides as well as make my own from time to time

I do like the lighting sets by Dreeko though....

I am horrible with lighting, so those help me constantly.

My favourite set is the City - Park!

I must admit that I usually load this set when I need to test specific issues
It gives me a sense of freedom, I close my eyes and I imagine that I'm outside the office in a sunny place.
Of course I need to open my eyes straight away, otherwise the testing won't go well

Cheers,
Marco

Hey Danny,

Your sets are fun, don't stop making them.
I checked a few of them before publishing them on our website.

The problem is in your marketing strategy Once you upload a set don't be afraid of coming to the forums and posting a few comments about them.

This will make the community aware of your sets, since I don't think sets get checked that often.

I hope this helps

Cheers,
Marco

yeah the little supermarket is pretty cute. As Marco says its a bit about marketing strategy as many people dont check there unless they see a post. Then they get to know you make things and will check your feed for updates on new stuff coming out.

Watch the forums for people needing things as well and maybe put up a request thread. Myself I find that if I just read threads and see what people need i keep it in the back of my mind for things to do.

Anyhow dont stop making them I just talk to much so I dont like to post anymore comments then I already do.. i mean look at my post count haha.

So I dont post comments in every thread for every asset because I feel as if I have a bit of verbal diarrhea at times

p.s. unfortunately I am a "do-it-yourselfer" so I dont have a favourite set and I tend to rebuild things when I make a cool new texture or discover some cool new technique. However if one wants to get technical I find myself using the greenscreen set a lot for testing and loading things .. not very imaginative but its a prebuilt set that is useful to me.. (god I am borring at times hehe)

Totally agree. Some of their work is astonishing Digital Architecture at its best!

In the past years I've had quite a lot of experience with computer modeling. I worked for a theme park design company and my job was to create 3d computer models of amusement rides and attractions from architects and engineers drawings. It takes quite a bit of patience and skill (and a few choice words) to create nice looking 3d models.

I really appreciate the efforts of those that have uploaded assets and sets for the Muvizu community to use in their animations. Keep up the great work!

Good Posting

I don't use other people's sets (I'm very picky ) with the exception of JonBez's excellent Desert set, which I converted into my Western Desert set for A Fistful Of Coders. Actually all JonBez sets are pretty damn good. And Matt's. And Emily's. And Urbanlamb's, and Dreeko and Mysto and the list goes on!

My own favourites of my creations are the Back Alley (RR) set and the Recording Studio (TT), which both have lighting I like. I realise now that I have a few more sets I've never bothered to put up, so I'll do my best to post them soon. I'm sure someone will find a use for them.

Just remembered - Wabby's Open Office as well. Changed it to a night setting for use in a So You've Been Dumped vid - looked good.
