Neil, no problem, but you will not like what you are going to read:

Right-click the camera (the 3D camera itself, not the window) and select "Edit".

Bang! Crash immideately after I click on the Edit item in the camera menu.

Moreover, as I reported on the other thread, there are a lot of ways to crush Muvizu. For example:
  • Select any object, right-click, select Edit - crash.
  • Select any backdrop, right-click, select Edit - crash.
  • Select any effect, right-click, select Edit - crash.
  • Select any words, right-click, select Edit - crash.
  • Select Create - Edit environment - crash.
The interesting thing is that it's NOT crashing when editing characters.

I really want to help eliminate those bugs, so if you need anything - just ask.

Hmm, sorry, I cannot get this crash on my system. Weird. Duhh

Can't make this happen either - I hadn't allowed Play to update yet, so was trying it in it's original trim. Ran it again, allowed it to update...and still couldn't get it to crash via right clicking/editing on anything.

I never updated .NET or anything when installing (reinstalling it would just wipe out any windows updates which would have to be downloaded again, surely?) and I'm using Win7 x64 with 23b installed as well.

I made a new & different installation and I still have the Double click camera window crash. See the error message below.

http://traintrain.free.fr/bug_muvizuplay_2013-04-18_201536.gif

My new installation

This time I choose MuvizuPlay32 bits, not 64
This time I choose MuvizuPlaySetupDXDotNetFull_2013.04.12.01R, not 2013.04.09.01R
This time I said YES to install "directX Runtime june2010", "Net framework 4.0" and "Visual C++ Runtime"

The crash is very fast. Launch the software with the empty set. Open the camera window. Double-click in >> fatal error.

My Muvizu 0.23b 64 bits still works fine

My findings are the same: both 32 and 64-bit versions affected, both 2013.04.12 and 2013.04.09 updates, and it doesn't matter if you installed .net from the Muvizu package or Microsoft site. And I believe it's not hardware related.

Yep. On the same PC with the same .net and everything.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has given feedback here! We're really stumped by this crash but we're not giving up and ever bit of information we get on it helps.

Thanks again Big Grin

Jamie, do you have a debug mode or something like that, so your application would write a log while we were trying to crash it?
This could help.

Sorry Ember, I totally missed your question. No, there isn't a debug mode to log crashes or errors in the release version of Muvizu:Play. Thankfully the problem is fixed now Big Grin
