When i purchased Muvizu play plus I was told that there were assets that were constantly being updated and shared by the other Muvizu family. i go back to get started with the program again and there is nothing but stuff for sale????
And I see something on the side frorm 2014? We will no longer host models??

What is going on? I purchased this only awhile ago and there were other peoples assets and tons of free stuff to download. Where is it or am i just confused? Please I hope I am confused...they couldn't have taken away why we bought the program right?

its all still there, its just on a separate tab.

Click the USER ASSETS tab (Beside the MUVIZU ASSETS)

The part about no longer hosting models is kind of misleading. I guess to simplify things, everything in the store is now either a SET (which can still contain user modelled content) or a texture.

Thanks to my buddy Pat I have seen the light! Wow, I admit I panicked a bit. Been through computer issues for over three months and just got back up and running today! It's so good to be back with the Muvizu family and I'm itching to get creating.

New features are being added to play+ slowly, but only really minor ones now (eg: mp4 and PNG export). You can no longer upload fbx or ase assets to the store(formerly the gallery), but i think the old ones are there, and you can upload a set with the assets anyway.

The paid content packs are still pretty well priced, so it's not really a problem. (I suggest you get the keyframe pack)

How do you go about importing user assets?

I can open the set files as a scene and have a basic understanding of using textures.

What I don't understand is how to bring a character or object from a user asset set file, into my existing project.

I've tried looking through the forum for answers but for some reason it doesn't seem to be a topic. Am I missing something?

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

One way is to
1) open the set that contains the characters...
2) right click on the character > Edit
3) click on the FAVOURITES tab
4) click SAVE
5) repeat for all the characters you want to reuse

then open your other project...
CREATE > CHARACTER > FAVOURITES and pick the saved character from the list

This is also the procedure for saving OBJECTS from sets for use later in other projects.

another way is to...
1) open both sets (you can have more than one instance of Muvizu open if you have enough ram)
2) click on the item you want to move, then CTRL-C to copy it
3) switch to the other set and CTRL-V to paste the character or object into the set
4) repeat as needed to get everything you want.

Favorites!
That's what I needed. Works great.
Thanks

The copy/paste solution doesn't seem to work for me. I tried it with a few different situations but the paste option is greyed out in the other open file (even when opening a fresh one after copying in case it needed to refresh or something) Ctrl+v didn't work either.

Like I said, saving into the Favorites tab works great. Just curious about the other way cause that would be cool too.
Maybe it's a depreciated function and you're on an older version?

I always use Favourites... never have tried the other way... but it has been mentioned many times on the forum by people who are a lot more knowledgeable about the software than I am, so maybe I just explained the process incorrectly. The good news is that you accomplished what you set out to do! And that's a fairly useful procedure, because this site has a huge collection of free sets full of reusable content!

By the way.. I see you only have a few posts ... welcome to the forum!

I am finally getting back into Muvizu, but I'm afraid that the user assets tab isn't useful at this time. Can't find a single one there. But thankfully, I found out about anizu.uk and there's plenty of assets there for download for free.

Glad to see you back! The Muvizu website, however, will not let you download any assets or upload any videos. Yet, they claim their site is working. For assets, I recommend http://www.anizu.uk .
