Posts: 975 		I have only just realised that the WAV file associated with an image sequence only covers the section of the shot which has sound. I had previously thought that it covered the section up until the sound stopped (the WAV file is often shorter than the overall length of the shot).

Now that sounds all very reasonable, however if your sound only covers a section in the middle of your shot then you have no way of keying the sound back to the images.

I would argue that the WAV produced should cover the complete length of the shot.

For the moment I have created a 30 second silent WAV that when loaded into Muvizu will trick it into producing the correct length WAV.

Posts: 110 		Right - and the too short audio track also comes with rendering to i.e. mp4.

The embedded audio track in the mp4 file is too short if there is is no soundtrack to render in the Muvizu timeline.

Normally this should not be a problem, however, as there always is some ambient sound(s) in a film - seldom total silence:



The dog barks twice - and then does nothing.
Rendered out from Muvizu as a mp4 file and then loaded into Sony Vegas so that we can see the audio and the video tracks inside the mp4 file.
Notice the gap between the end of the audio track and the end of the video track.

Posts: 359 		Hit Film lets you separate the sound tracks from the film, so it is possible to add more sounds, or duplicate the sound if it is a dog barking or something like that. I made a job application video using PowToons last weekend, and the sound track there also took the most work.

I thought for sure having a job application video would get me an interview but I was wrong. Maybe I should have used Muvizu.

Thanks for taking the time to experiment with ways that make using Muvizu easier for those of us who do not have a lot of time to test things out. Please keep letting us know what you find out about using Muvizu.
