Doh!

OK, a couple of questions:

1. Does it happen with any audio file - does one you've used before work?
2. Does it happen if you use it as say background audio - or is it only if you use it as dialog?

Thanks for your quick reply mac,

1- yes both wav,mp3, including files that worked before.
2-only dialog at the moment, have not used background yet.

I noticed on the old bleeding edge version that when I tried to record audio
it would lock up the program?
I never bothered with it because I do my own external recording.
Might be a conflict somewhere?

I'm more a PC than a Mac. Sorry, bad joke. More questions.

Can you try setting the audio just as a background audio?
Also, can you try importing it with no characters present?

I'm thinking it may be the lipsync that's doing it.

The recording audio thing is completely seperate - so it shouldn't matter. (Famous last words.)

Hi again, the sound file loads in the prepare dialog part with no problems without a character, but as soon as you create a character, muvizu crashes same problem.

I can use the same audio file for background audio with no problems with a character presentWhaaaaa?

Can't understand it, feel a bit sad now, sniff sniffTon of Bricks

Hi Artpen,

OK, you've confirmed that it's the lipsyncing that's doing it, so while you might not understand it - it gives us something to look at.

I don't think it will be anything specific, but any chance you can send us a file that is failing for you - just in case it's something with the files - which I doubt? Thanks

Just email one of your audio files that doesn't work to bugs@muvizu.com and we'll pick it up from there.

Ta.

Hi artpen - can I offer a quick suggestion? (I don't know if it will help but it wont do any harm)

Try opening the audio file in an editor such as audacity and saving it using the default settings and then try using it again. It's always worth trying defaults in a situation like this.

Cheers,
-Jim

Hi Jim,

Artpen has sent us one of the files - it seems to work fine here. Not sure what on earth is causing this at the moment.
